Poker Run Rules

  • Ride sheets may be picked up at any of the host locations during the hours posted for each location for a $10 donation.
  • Each hand requires stamps from three host locations to be valid.
  • Additional cards may be purchased at the final destination for $5 each to complete a hand.
  • Completed hands must be turned in by 4:30 PM at the final destination.
  • Hands will be judged by standard poker rankings.
  • All ride sheets submitted will be subject to the final judgment of the event organizers. Any discrepancies, alterations, aberrations will be decided by the event organizers.
  • Participants agree their names and images may be used in promotional materials.
  • Organizers reserve the right to change the rules and to substitute prizes of equal or similar value as deemed necessary.

The purpose of this event is to raise money and awareness for pediatric brain tumor research. This event is for entertainment purposes only and should not suggest or be confused as a professional event. Motorcycle riding is an inherently dangerous activity. We cannot be held liable or responsible for any choices or decisions that you might make based on riding your motorcycle. We advise that you seek the advice of a professional expert in matters concerning your safety, legal responsibilities and well being. Event organizers, sponsors, hosts, their agents or employees can not guarantee your safety, nor be held responsible for any accident, traffic violation, or damage to your motorcycle or your person.

 

Poker Hand Rankings

Straight Flush
  All five cards of the same suit and in sequence, as the 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of diamonds. Highest ranking straight flush is the 10, J, Q, K and Aces of one suit called a Royal Flush
4 of a Kind
  Such as four aces or four sixes, it does not matter what the fifth, unmatched card is
Full House
  Three cards of one rank and two cards of another rank, such as 8,8,8,4,4
Flush
  5 cards of the same suit, but not all in the same sequence
Straight
  Five cards in sequence, but not all of the same suit
3 of a Kind
  Three cards of the same rank, such as 8, 8, 8, K, 3
2 Pair
  A hand with 2 pair of different ranks
Pair
  A hand with two cards of equal rank
High Card
  Five cards which do not form any of the combinations listed above. Highest card wins.

Five of a kind will be treated as a special winning class with its own prize. In the event of tying hands, the hand submitted first will be deemed the winner.
